The following is a campaign press release regarding Senator Edwards’ upcoming College Tour.

Chapel Hill, North Carolina – As part of his ongoing effort to get young people involved in his campaign to transform America, Senator John Edwards will launch a College Tour at Metropolitan State University in Denver on Thursday, March 1st, 2007.  Over the course of the campaign, Edwards will visit college campuses across the country to encourage young people to take action and get involved in the important issues facing our nation.

“There is too much at stake to wait until the next election to start changing our country,” said Edwards.  ”We need everyone to join together and take action today.  Young people have changed America before and they can change America again, and that’s why I am asking our young people to stand up and join me in our campaign to build the America we all believe in.”

Edwards has already brought his campaign to change America to the University of Iowa, Wake Forest University and Dartmouth College.  Upcoming College Tour events include:

March 1st – Metropolitan State University ; Denver , Colorado
March 4th – University of California at Berkeley ; Berkeley , California
March 5th – UCLA; Los Angeles , California
March 14th – Howard University ; Washington , D.C.
