National Day of Health Care: Humble Goals For a Tiny Chapter
Our county in almost entirely rural and our Chapter is very small. Finding a publicly accessible space to set up a table to distribute political information is always a real challenge. Virtually all printed materials are distributed as leaflets and office seekers will turn up at your doorstep two or three times during the course of a campaign. Although Democrats generally prevail when running for state and national offices, the margin is inevitably narrow, and it certainly seems like most of the business community supports Republican candidates. So, this may not be easiest part of the world to make something happen. But the real icing on the cake for today has been the “Doomsday Scenario” snow storm/ blizzard that has us in it’s sights. We already had a little preview with 6″ plus of fresh snow on the ground this morning.
