After reading “Saudi King Condemns U.S. Occupation of Iraq” by Hassan M. Fattah in the New York Times, I started to have a little hope for the peace negotiations. I think King Abdullah has come to accept that American military force will not be able to establish lasting peace in Iraq. In fact he has probably come to the conclusion like most of us that American forces are just making matters worse. The balance of power has shifted with Saddam and the Bathists gone. It has become a Sunni/Shiite thing now. This needs a Diplomatic approach.
