Both the Clinton and Obama campaigns are now playing catch-up on policy ideas. John Edwards, who’s running third in fund-raising and the early polls, has tried to grab attention by releasing a series of specific proposals.

Who does Karl Rove think he is?

As a small newspaper publisher in a rural area, I get accused of sensationalizing stuff all the time. But nothing compares to the kind of hit piece that appears here. This is supposed to be news??

Who cares about Edwards’ hair? A politician has to be in public view on TV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, their hair cuts are not anything like our hair cuts. Rove is insulting the intelligence of the American people by thinking that they are more interested in candidates’ personal habits than they are about the issues facing this country.

NPR Cancer discussion

Dear Mrs. Edwards,

Thank you so much for speaking to us on NPR about your experiences with cancer. I feel inadequate to talk about the emotional aspects of the illness, but I have a great interest in the mechanisms of cancer from a research scientist’s perspective.  I understand that you probably have many people offering advice, but I wanted to bring to your attention one of my recent discoveries in the medical literature.

Bipartisanship is key to election victory

I firmly believe that John Edwards can and should be the next president of the United States.  I just want to give my two cents about a good strategy for getting elected.

Greed has ruled, but it has never governed.

We’ve all seen how much respect Greed has for the Earth and all it’s natural recourses (including Human beings). Greed only understands one thing. To take all it can take now, before somebody else can get it, with no responsibility for the human or environmental costs of their actions. I guess “Personal Responsibility” doesn’t get taught at the “Top”!
If Greed doesn’t destroy the world, it will for sure use it up, which is the same thing. This Coin Operated Machine we have for a government has no concern for the general public. Anything designed to help the general public is called “Socialist” by the promoters of Greed and it’s unconscious followers.
The people must govern. Exclusive Public Campaign Finance must become reality, in order to save the Earth and all it’s natural recourses (including Humanity). Greed has ruled, but it has never governed. The people must govern. Exclusive Public Campaign Finance is our only realistic hope.
