Bush/Cheney’s Vindictive Politics Put the U.S. Executive Branch on Trial

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald will call Vice President Dick Cheney as a witness in Scooter Libby’s Obstruction of Justice Trial. Cheney’s testimony is said to be important during the trial so the court can understand the "frame of mind" of the Bush Administration when they "outed" Valerie Plame as a CIA Operative.

Since Cheney’s poll ratings are about 18% favorable, it seems clear that U.S. citizens understand the frame of mind of the current Administration: vindictive, cruel, greedy, power hungry, abject disregard for the well-being of others, etc.

This trial stands to be very similar to the trials of the Watergate men. The Bush Administration has taken their cues from Nixon’s Lietenants who went to jail for carrying out Nixon’s dirty tricks to likewise hurt Nixon’s political enemies.

It’s time for a change in our country from this culture of corruption.

We need John Edwards for President in 2008!
